We are Rest & Rewild. An independent luxury accommodation provider in some of the UK’s most stunning locations, giving you the chance to rewild your soul and rest in total comfort.
Set up by our very own Dave Gore and Sara Barnes, Rest & Rewild has been born out of a love for the UK countryside and the importance of ‘getting away from it all’. Having stayed in many self-catering properties in some beautiful rural locations in the UK, Dave and Sara both experienced a lack of personal service, flexibility and luxury touches during their stays. So, they saw a gap in the staycation market and started looking for a small property in one of their favourite places in the world, the Lake District.
Their aim was to create a haven of tranquility for those that want to rewild within nature but want to do so from the luxury and space of a stylish home, giving guests the ability to rest and relax from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. They found Mary’s Corner in 2018, renovated it and let it out to great success with fantastic reviews commenting on the quality of the service and interiors. Next, in 2019, came Fox’s Corner on the outskirts of Ambleside and more positive reviews came flooding in.
Looking further afield on the stunning isle of Anglesey, Goferryd was born in 2021, along with the inception of Rest & Rewild to bring all the properties together. GoFerydd was a bigger property perfect for families and large groups and a space that Dave and Sara’s family and friends could also enjoy.
Whenever and wherever you stay with us we guarantee, we will provide you with high-quality interiors that will provide you with the utmost comfort and enabling you to rest and restore in total luxury. Before, during and after your stay we will always go above and beyond to provide an exceptional experience with Rest & Rewild from the chocolates waiting on arrival to the towels ready to dry off mucky paws.
Our hope is to expand further in the future without losing our family values and bringing offering designed, luxury self catering accommodation, privately managed in the most beautiful locationsso you can choose either the woods, fells and lakes of the Lake District or the wild, rugged Welsh coastline for bracing walks and plenty of sea air!
