Take a scenic hike

It’s open to dogs all year round and features steep inclines up to the peak of Loughrigg Fell. Explore Grasmere

For those colder days, wrap up warm and explore the charming village of Grasmere. Home to the renowned poet William Wordsworth, you can visit his former residence at Dove Cottage. The cottage, now a museum, regularly hosts exciting events for visitors, from book launches and poetry nights to regular sketch sessions and daily live poetry performances.

Explore Wray Castle

For a full day of adventuring to Wray Castle, travel via the Green Cruise, which takes a circular route of the north shores of Lake Windemere, transporting guests from Ambleside to Wray Pier. Staying at Fox’s Corner? You can take a leisurely half-hour walk or a quick 5-minute drive to Wray Castle, which is just a few minutes away from your home away from home.
